Definitely have a yard sale. Or if you have knowledge of Ebay and items that sell well on there..go to yard sales yourself and make some extra cash that. I love doing it and just the hunt is fun. I have found some great high dollar items that I got for real cheap and doubled my money on them on Ebay within a few days. Notify me and maybe i will blog about it one day with enough response.

This is easy to do, but remember to think long term.

Last year when we needed to catch up financially,

1. I found some work at a temp agency. I kept my spirits up by thinking how great it was to do a great variety of jobs I never even knew existed.
$10 an hour, but did the trick

2. Depending on season, (we have a lot of snow in winter and a lot of weeds in the summer)
Shovel neighbourhood's snow in winter for 10-20/ driveway
Tend to the gardens of busy neighbours - going rate for professional companies is 25-50/ hour.

3. I have to say I love the idea of selling things you no longer use on ebay.
I'd first get rid of the x-box.

Not sure if this was covered...but here are some great ways to make $200.

Buy some cases of water from BJ's, Sam's Club or Costco and sell it any busy event, park or city intersection for $1. per bottle. You can easily make $100 every 4 hrs or so. I've done it. You can step that up a little and have a shirt imprinted front and back in bright yellow or orange that says in large letters, ICE COLD WATER $1. Then keep a cooler in your car where you'll keep your back ups and pack a plastic bag with ice and put it into a backpack with as many bottles as you can carry. Then when you run low...run back to the car to refill. We've done this for party money, bills money...just about anything and with a few people doing it you can make $400 or $500 per day...easily. All the best and check out www.howtogetpaiddaily.info for more great tips on making $100 per day.

My first thought on needing to earn $200 was to call all my friends and family with children and offer to watch the kids that coming Friday or Saturday evening (or over night) while they go out on the town. I know how hard it is to find reliable child care in the evenings, especially out of home. I know my husband and I would love to have an evening at home without the kids once in a while...if for no other reason then to sort their rooms!! I would ask for $25.00 per child from 8 pm - 8 am. That would include bedtime snack and breakfast for that price. If you did this two nights in a row you could easily make more then $200 in a weekend.

All I know is I've tried all of those things and I'm now tapped out...nothing...nada. Nothing to sell,no one will hire me,too much competition in the area to try and do my own thing, even tried selling blood plasma and strangely there's no place within about 50 miles to do this...if they even accept me. Maybe it's the city sucking the life out of me. So here I sit, rejected and waiting for either something to come or the end.

This is why it's good to have an emergency fund. But, since I don't have one of those yet -

I would take a little money from my food, gas, entertainment, clothing, and gift budgets and cut back in all of those areas for one month.

I'd go to a temporary agency and be willing to take any job that they offered me.

My husband would look for a part-time remodeling job, return an unused item that he shouldn't have bought in the first place.

I have negligible marketable skills; I've been to temp and day labor agencies with no success. I signed up, called repeatedly, and hung around their offices with a bunch of other guys waiting for nonexistent work.

I reply to "gig" postings on Craigslist and rarely get a response. I've had a little more success getting replies from Craigslist, but not much. I think there are unemployed people who practically live on CL, waiting to pounce on an opportunity to earn money - if you don't reply within an hour of a posting, you're way too late, the opportunity is closed, and you're not going to hear from them.

Coming up with $200 in two weeks seems practically impossible for me; I haven't been able to do it and I end up late with rent until the next month begins.
