ten talents club The Money Mentoring Program

Todd from Ten Talents Club has graciously donated a membership to their Christian Money Mentoring program (retails for $47.00) for the weekly giveaway. The program teaches the “essential principles of biblical stewardship and the practical aspects of putting a basic financial plan in place.”

It’s based on the approach used successfully for over 20 years by biblical financial expert and money coach Bob Louder of Christian Financial Ministries.

Topics covered include:

  • Financial bondage (how to detect it as well as get out of it)
  • Wealth
  • Stewardship (what they are according to God)
  • Wise money management (what that means and how to get a plan in place)
  • Giving (all four types outlined in the Bible).

The winner will receive:

  • The 4 week mentoring course consisting of 20 online lessons
  • 2 weeks of bonus lessons
  • 45 days of unlimited access to the private member area which includes audio lessons, videos, eBooks, reports, financial tools, software, etc.

There are also 2 videos that you can check out free of charge if you are interested in seeing what the program is all about. You can find the first video here.

was really looking for answers but like entering contests
:)
what to do when ur cc (credit card) company lowers ur credit limit which causes it to be $9000 over limit…then threatens to turn u into a collection agency when u can’t “immediately” pay the $9000?
I never heard of such a practice but would like to save my credit if possible. Any answers would be appreciated.

@Lisa
Good Morning,
ICK! Often when one creditor payment is late all the other creditors are notified resulting in lowering of the credit limits and increasing of the interest rates. Unfortunately, “the borrower is servant to the lender”.

I would suggest
1. read over the agreement they signed to make sure this stipulation was given to the lender (probably “yes”)

2. try to shift your credit to another card, signature loan, etc. BUT, be careful of the agreement they sign. Stay away from “pay day” lenders, etc.

3. if you can’t find any relief in 1 or 2 above, call the creditor, talk to a supervisior in the collections area and try to work out a plan. Make sure they don’t agree to something they can’t afford to maintain.

If you have other significant financial concerns, you need help NOW. One choice would be to go to our web site at http://www.good-steward.org and look at our “Financial Crisis Prevention and Recovery Program”.

If you’re married, I strongly suggest that you start to pray with you’re spouse TODAY. Finances can be repaired. Marriages–not so easily or quickly. Covenant together that you will ride this wave together and NOT let Satin destroy your marriage.

As a Christian you need to remember that God is still in control. There may be, and probably will be, consequences to pay, but there is also a spiritual lesson God wants you to learn. Again, you need help. Don’t let the sin of pride further complicate your situation. Ask for help to learn and apply biblical financial principles and applications.

Hope this helps.
