neobudget The NeoBudget giveaway and review

NeoBudget is one of the new budgeting tools out there based off of the the envelope system of budgeting. Mvelopes was the first one that I had seen, but since then it seems there have been a few new ones coming out.

neobudget screenshots I dug in and did a bit of research about NeoBudget and from what I found, it seems to be a useful tool if you want a virtual way of budgeting with envelopes. It is a very simple program that looks to be apple-esque in its appearance and function. I still like budgeting with ING Direct, but even though NeoBudget and Mvelopes aren’t free, they may be worth it since they are a bit simpler.

Just like Mvelopes, it is a subscription based service – which I think I like a little bit better, because you can try it out for a month or two without much to lose, whereas when you buy software all the money is up front. If it doesn’t work, you are out more cash. The downside, of course, is that it will cost you more in the long run.

ss1 NeoBudget is actually a lot cheaper than Mvelopes. Last I talked to the guys, they said it was $2.50 a month or $12.50 for 6 months. If you are interested in trying it out you can get a month free by using this promo code: “blog31″

The nice folks from NeoBudget also offered to give away 6 months free to the winner of the weekly giveaway. So if you are looking for a budgeting system to try out for free – this is your chance.

They have a video showing a little bit about the program if you are interested.
