Nuru Personal Finance plastic cards
The nice folks from Nuru just sent me a packet of their personal finance flash cards. It is a really interesting idea they have. Each card covers a different financial topic and provides bottom line, “Cliffs Notes” type information about the topic.
As they say, “The purpose of (the cards) is to give you the knowledge you need to make strong, smart financial decisions and to take control of your financial future.”
Most of the cards focus on the more common areas of personal finance: planning, investing, loans, retirement, credit, and insurance. They do a very good job of covering the definitions for many of these topics. The cards would be perfect for a personal finance 101 class.
The do have a few cards with tips and tricks that would probably be a bit more useful on a day-to-day basis. I hope in the next version they add more tricks and standard guidelines for financial decision making. I think adding more of these to the mix could really make this a top notch tool.
So, this week’s giveaway winner will win a pack of these Nuru card to use as a PF resource. Dear winner: let me know how you like them!
