Smart Money magazine is one of the good personal finance magazines out there. I am a subscriber to it as well as Kiplingers and Money magazine. They all are fairly basic and are a great resource for anyone trying to get some good ideas for gaining ground financially.

I have learned quite a few things from Smart Money, have gotten some good ideas, and even have gotten a good stock tip. I bought a few shares of a company called Leucadia a few years ago off of their recommendation and it has more than doubled since my purchase date. I like when they go up (we can talk later about some of the losers I have picked )
