Should you buy a used car or new car?

It is one of those things that I think most people realize buying a used car is a better idea for their finances, but don’t understand the scope of it. Dave Ramsey’s critics often belittle his math on his “drive for free” method, but even if the numbers are a little generous, the same principle still applies – owning a depreciating asset is a bad move, but paying interest on a depreciating asset is a really bad move! Dave Ramsey and the Total Money Makeover… If you got a chance to see the video I put up yesterday, Dave Ramsey is the antidote. I love giving the Total Money Makeover away every once in a while, because it is quickly becoming a classic and yet our nation is not in short supply of people who need it. I almost always recommend this book for people who have a lot of debt that they are trying to break from or who just want to get a little bit more control of their finances. The book is simple, a fun read, and in this case you don’t even need to read it, you can listen to it!

While there are plenty of Dave Ramsey critics, none of them can deny the wild success that he has had. I think his success can be attributed to the fact that he has created a system that works for a lot of people.

Dave Ramsey Audiobook Giveaway

But anyway, Dave Ramsey’s Total Money Makeover is a great book. I have given it away a couple times and it does always seem to be something that a lot of people are interested in. So, if you are looking for a great beginner’s book on personal finance or some help getting out of debt – I recommend this book. It is Dave’s best book yet, because he simplifies everything to about a 5th grade level so it won’t get over anyone’s head.
