Dark Chocolate Giveaway
Another dark chocolate giveaway? Yep - it’s great isn’t it? 
Kathy from Vere (pronounced “Very”) sent me a sample and sent some for the giveaway as well! So this week we will be giving away some Vere Dark Chocolate.
I think she wanted to prove to me that Vere is better than the New Tree Dark Chocolate we gave away 2 weeks ago…
Here is my verdict…
From what I have had so far, I am very pleased. My wife says that it is the “darkest” chocolate she has ever had and we both agree that the flavor is great. The cocao content is 75%, but yet it isn’t too bitter - it is nice and smooth and very rich.
I also love that the bars are all natural and organic. Then to add to that (for all who don’t know) dark chocolate has more antioxidants than just about anything else you can put into your body. So it is almost as good for me as eating spinach

And just to warn you, if you are a milk chocolate eater - this is a lot different. I used to just eat milk chocolate and slowly aquired the taste for super-dark chocolate, so if you are not there yet it’s okay. If you are, then get in on this - it is a good one!

Total Money Makeover Giveaway
Well, I was trying to decide what the giveaway should be this week and I was trying to decide between the new iPhone or a Dave Ramsey audiobook. I figured since this is a financial site people would much rather have the Ramsey book .
Maybe next time. But anyway, this is a great book. I have given it away a couple times and it does always seem to be something that a lot of people are interested in. So, if you are looking for a great beginner’s book on personal finance or some help getting out of debt - I recommend this book. It is Dave’s best book yet, because he simplifies everything to about a 5th grade level so it won’t get over anyone’s head.

The Starbucks Rewards card is here!!
In honor of the recently released Starbuck’s Rewards Card I thought it would be appropriate to giveaway a gift card. If you are not familiar with the Rewards card, allow me to fill you in. Starbucks is basically willing to offer you some perks and freebies in exchange for promising to spend your money there.
What I mean is that the Rewards card is a pre-paid card - so rather than dropping $4 when you walk into the local ‘bucks, you are dropping $25 or $50 to fill the card up beforehand.
But, if you are willing to make the sacrifice, the perks can be nice:
- Beverage customization - when you buy a drink they will upgrade it and add the bells and whistles for free.
- Free refills on brewed coffee.
- Free Tall drink when you buy a 1lb of their whole bean coffee.
- 2 hours of Free Wi-Fi per day - this is the only one I really care about. I have a Starbucks right next door and it is nice to get out of my house. This will work out nicely.
So, if you are a ‘bucks junkie it could be worth your while, if not don’t waste your money.

Larry Burkett’s “The Word on Finances”
I recently ordered this book from Amazon and it has been a great help to me. It is basically a topical guide of scriptures relating to money and finances. I spent a lot of time compiling verses for my Money in the Bible page and I wish I would have bought this book first. It would have saved me some time, but either way it is a great tool to find out more about what the Bible actually has to say about our finances.
Within each topic Larry writes a few paragraphs about that particular topic and shares his thoughts or insights about it. All in all, I think it is a good reference book to have on your bookshelf. So why not give it away? We shall.
