For someone who is just learning about them I suggest the book &quot;Mutual Funds for Dummies.&quot; Many people suggest buying index mutual funds, however carefully research other options. Most mutual funds have higher fees and they don&#039;t do as well as index funds, however there are some that do better than the indices and have less risk (volatility).</description>
