The seasons of life
There is a tendency in our modern, “gotta have it now” culture to try to get things before the proper season. I believe that God has laid our lives out with a nice disbursement of blessings all along the way. The bible says that we are going from glory to glory. (2cor3.18)
Personally, I often have a hard time waiting for the next “glory”, but I am learning that it is better to wait for [tag]God’s timing[/tag]. Things are blessed when we do them in God’s timing. When we don’t, even the thing we were longing for isn’t all that it was cracked up to be.
[tag]Ecclesiastes 3.11[/tag](AMP) says, “He has made everything beautiful in its time…” So why rush it? If God has a proper time for us to be single, to be married, to have kids, to buy a house, to buy a fancy car, to travel
I am all for believing God to provide nicer things for us, but Jesus made the point that he who is faithful in a little thing, will be given much. This implies a natural progression of blessings to me. Starting smaller and then getting bigger. After all, even if the car you have for this season isn’t that nice, it is better than not having a car. Isn’t it?
