I am a sucker for saving time. It is like a slight obsession to me. I remember discussing with a friend of mine strategies for how we could shave minutes off our morning routines. Brushing my teeth while in the shower was one of the failed, yet humorous, attempts to save time.
I try a lot of things. Most don’t make it into my regular routine, but some do. A few that have I can think of off the top of my head are…
But, I found two new ones recently that I think are worthy of sharing…
FreeConferenceCall.com
I discovered this site a few weeks back when I was having trouble finding a free tool that would host and record a conference call for me. I have used the site a second time and have been very pleased with them. They provide the callers with a login key and as mentioned they record the call for you. It can then be downloaded as a wave file or be played back over the phone.
Evernote.com
I think the goal of Evernote is to be a single depot of all your notes or anything you want to remember. The amazing thing they have going is the text recognition from pictures that is available. It can look at all your pictures and analyze the text and make it searchable by those words. For example, if you take a picture of your American Airlines plane ticket you could search Evernote for “American Airlines” “Flight Number” or any other text on the ticket and it will return it as a search result.
Here is a video about Evernote that will probably answer some questions…

Have you tried http://www.instantconference.com? It is the same free conferencing model with free recording, but also has moderator controls, an Outlook tool, and a better account managment system (call history). Everything you can do on the web, you can also do from Outlook, which makes meeting requests and calendar reminders very simple and convenient.
I haven’t tried it, but it sounds cool, maybe I will give it a shot next time!! Thanks
Other than using the free conference all sites, one service that I use quite often is from http://www.timebridge.com. This is very useful when you have to set a range of dates for an event and try to find out what date(s) works best. You can reschedule, cancel and do other stuff. It also has Outlook connectivity and Google Apps connectivity if you need it. It also has the free conferencing feature. All in all, it’s a service with a slick interface that has turned out to be very useful.
Here is an updated web-based tool I like. It is at Jooners.com. You send out sign up sheets for activities, potlucks, etc. You send out one email to your group, and they all click on a link and then sign up. Everyone “sees” the same page, so it fills up quickly, and you avoid alot of organizing time and back and forth emails. They even recently added the ability to accept payments for an event, donations, etc. It has really cut down on my time to get people involved!
I used http://www.evite.com to send invitations and organize a family Christmas gathering and it worked great!
