Here is an updated web-based tool I like. It is at Jooners.com. You send out sign up sheets for activities, potlucks, etc. You send out one email to your group, and they all click on a link and then sign up. Everyone "sees" the same page, so it fills up quickly, and you avoid alot of organizing time and back and forth emails. They even recently added the ability to accept payments for an event, donations, etc. It has really cut down on my time to get people involved!

Other than using the free conference all sites, one service that I use quite often is from http://www.timebridge.com. This is very useful when you have to set a range of dates for an event and try to find out what date(s) works best. You can reschedule, cancel and do other stuff. It also has Outlook connectivity and Google Apps connectivity if you need it. It also has the free conferencing feature. All in all, it's a service with a slick interface that has turned out to be very useful.

Have you tried www.instantconference.com? It is the same free conferencing model with free recording, but also has moderator controls, an Outlook tool, and a better account managment system (call history). Everything you can do on the web, you can also do from Outlook, which makes meeting requests and calendar reminders very simple and convenient.
