Encouraging Bible Verses for the Financial Crisis

The Bible is the endless supply of encouraging truth

Everyone needs a bit of encouragement from time to time. Thankfully we have the Bible as our ultimate source of encouraging words! Even in the midst of the “financial crisis” that we are in the middle of, we can remain hopeful and encouraged if we keep trusting in God.

I have found that the key is to finding specific Bible verses and meditating on them. According to the Word, this is how faith comes. The more we soak up the truth of God’s Word, the more assured we become that He really is going to take care of us!

I know some people whose lives have been dramatically affected by this and I think as it progresses we will all know people who will go through struggles as a result. The important thing to remember in the midst of the chaos is that God is in control. He is not surprised by the events and He is not unsure how He is

going to take care of his children. We are just as safe putting our trust in Him when things are going great as when it looks like everything is falling around us.

“And my God will meet all your needs according to his glorious riches in Christ Jesus.” - Phil 4:19

Notice the above verse says “ALL.” It doesn’t say “some” or “most,” but it says that He will meet all of our needs. It doesn’t say how He will meet our needs and I have found from experience the way He does it is often not what I expected. But the bottom line is that God is faithful and He does what He promises.

I will leave you with some encouraging bible verses that I found to be helpful…

“These things I have spoken to you, so that in Me you may have peace. In the world you have tribulation, but take courage; I have overcome the world.” John 16:33

God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble. Therefore we will not fear, though the earth should change and though the mountains slip into the heart of the sea; though its waters roar and foam, though the mountains quake at its swelling pride. Selah. The LORD of hosts is with us; the God of Jacob is our stronghold. Selah. Psalm 46:1-3,7

‘Do not fear, for I am with you; do not anxiously look about you, for I am your God. I will strengthen you, surely I will help you, surely I will uphold you with My righteous right hand.’ Isaiah 41:10

For God did not give us a spirit of timidity (of cowardice, of craven and cringing and fawning fear), but [He has given us a spirit] of power and of love and of calm and well-balanced mind and discipline and self-control. 2 Tim 1:7 (AMP)

I have set the Lord continually before me; because He is at my right hand, I shall not be moved. Psalm 16:8 (AMP)

Cast your burden on the Lord [releasing the weight of it] and He will sustain you; He will never allow the [consistently] righteous to be moved (made to slip, fall, or fail). Psalm 55:22 (AMP)

He only is my Rock and my Salvation; He is my Defense and my Fortress, I shall not be moved. Psalm 62:6 (AMP)

Casting the whole of your care [all your anxieties, all your worries, all your concerns, once and for all] on Him, for He cares for you affectionately and cares about you watchfully. 1 Peter 5:7 (AMP)

The Lord is good, a Strength and Stronghold in the day of trouble; He knows (recognizes, has knowledge of, and understands) those who take refuge and trust in Him. Nahum 1:7 (AMP)

“The steadfast of mind You will keep in perfect peace, Because he trusts in You. Isaiah 26:3

I can’t tell you how refreshing and encouraging this post is! There is so much negative news. Everywhere I look it is fear. People are afraid of their jobs, their investments. It’s fear fear fear.

It’s so nice to read a post in the middle of all of this that reminds us that Jehovah is bigger than stock markets. He is the Ancient of Days. He will meet our needs.

when we grasp this we can become the people that people look to for direction in this time of trouble.
In the words of the christian hip hop group.
“When there’s trouble you,
don’t see them running to,
their BMWs”

Ryan,
I thought it was pretty refreshing myself - God is so much bigger than what is going on around us!

on a side note, I loved that quote you gave… so true!

For the record,
I found the actual lyrics which are better than my paraphrase.

all up and down the F.M. dial

they make songs about takin’ the wrong route

and yet men smile

Yet when trials and tribulations appear

“God this” and “God that” is all that you hear

You don’t see them runnin’ to them BMWs “

Thank you so much for your website and posting. I have Isiah 55:8-9 on the back of my business cards. Thanks so much. God Bless you!

Also notice that He doesn’t say that cable television, plasma TVs and three cars per household are “needs.” We get a bit confused on that one here in the US.

“But if we have food and clothing, we will be content with that.” 1 Timothy 6:8

Okay, God is meeting my needs, but I cannot get ahead. (No money to go to school or start a business.)

Is this any way to live?

Those that are known by the Lord have a Mighty One of God as their Guard and Savior, even the Lord Jesus … yet, look and see with eyes open … these things are signposts for which we are commanded to look for and sound the alert and alarm … for the Day is at hand when that which is written in the scriptures of Truth will be done. What He has said, will surely come about and there are times for comfort, indeed, even as He comforts us from within during this storm. Yet there is also a time to blow the trumpet and sound the alarm … not another lullaby … but a blast from the horn.

Wake up, I say.
Pray.
Draw near.

Speak His name, and He is with you. Yahshua has come, and is here and is coming shortly to take all those that belong to Him and of which He sees Himself within them.

Ripening for the harvest,
Trent

I used Philippians 4:19 in my latest post too.

These scriptures are really so much encouraging. Jesus is the beginning and the end. Yes, people look at the created and so blame luck but we look at the creator for our needs who is stable in his promises. I am seeking a job in the midst of these financial crisis but I believe I shall not be touched by the situations or circumstances. And as a youth I am glad I am getting a revelation of Gods word as far as finance is concerned. I wanna be blessed to be a blessing. The God of the Bible says “My people are destroyed for a lack of understanding.” and “Wisdom is the principal thing; therefore get wisdom: and with all thy getting get understanding.” (Proverbs 4:7)
Thanks for giving the amplified version of the bible. It really broadened my understanding. We are the sons of Jesus and by his precious blood even in the midst of the financial crises ..just as the death angel passed over the people in the old testament who were obedient to God by putting the blood on their door posts so also being obedient to these scriptures is being bonded to them and thus being saved from disastrous financial consequences. Halleluiah!!!

I have never doubted that God is my everything, but some times when things are quite in my home, I wonder. The United States has gotten it’s self into quite a knot. I will not set back and judge other peoples decisions, that is not my job nor do I want to do that. Their judgement day is coming, and only one will make that decision. And what ever president we have in office , he will not make everyone happy. But my parents always told me, respect our alders, or leaders, and pray they make the right decision for us.
yes, I would like things here at home a lot better, yes, my husbands job may not be here, tomorrow. Yes, I may loose my house, yes, it was a very troubling Christmas, but I will not lose my faith. Neither will my children, I do not preach to my children who’s fault this has been, what I will tell them is: Cast your burden on the Lord, (release the weight of it) and He will sustain you; He will never allow the (consistently) righteous to be moved, made to slip, fall or fail. Psalm 55:22
Please do not judge anyone anymore, work on supporting each other, I think that is what God wants us to do.
God Bless
Smilie
